Ayurveda is a holistic system of medicine working to bring the body, mind and consciousness into balance. Food is the first medicine, and an ayurvedic approach targets diet, lifestyle, cleansing and rejuventation therapies and herbal medicine to support the body’s natural healing, as well as yoga, pranayama and meditation to support the mind and consciousness.
Ayurveda seeks to treat the root cause of an imbalance by looking into our past illnesses, genetic weaknesses and mental, emotional and spiritual patterns.
Health from an Ayurvedic point of view is not simply the absence of disease but an ongoing state of deep wellbeing grounded in healthy bodily functioning, a calm and happy mind and a deep connection with Self.

This work begins with with a first visit. Starting from where you are and considering where you want to be, these sessions will support you in creating and implementing a plan to shift gradually into that life you imagine. Shifts in how you are eating and what you’re eating, bedtime rituals, morning routine, exercise, yoga, pranayama, meditation, herbal medicine, marma treatments and other subtle therapies are some of what we’ll explore together. You can expect to feel better right away as you begin to live in rhythm with natural cycles. You can also expect to encounter some of your deepest patterns of unconsciousness and resistance as your awareness expands and you move to make changes. As you evolve and move forward, we will continue to create and implement new practices to support your new stage of health. Ayurveda works best as a gradual process of thoughtful shifts one step at a time. I will hold a non-judgmental and loving space with you to support your growing awareness and help you stay accountable to the changes you’re longing to make.
Here’s what the first 3 months looks like:
An initial ayurvedic assessment (first appointment + second appointment with marma treatment) with individualized plan based on your goals.
Bi-Monthly stress-relieving, harmonizing marma sessions to support your system to flow with the changes you are making in your life.

1 Meal planning session
Phone calls on the weeks we don’t meet in person to check in.
2 additional 75-minute office visits with arma treatments
In the next 3 months we add:
Monthly 75-minute office visits with marma treatments
A 75-minute customized private yoga session
3 month package: -$1500
6 month package: -$3000
These 75 minute sessions include a brief intake followed by gentle marma therapy (acupressure) to address your current struggles (excess stress, digestive issues, sore muscles) and to calm your mind and balance your system overall. Clients say these sessions are extremely relaxing and healing and they report feeling more present, calm and centered afterwards. $80 or 4 session for $300 (used in 4 months).
“In the Summer of 2014, I was suffering from the worst seasonal allergies I had ever experienced. It was the first time in 18 years of Recovery I felt like I could not function in daily life. Having taken a class in Ayurveda for Digestion from Shannon McCall at my local yoga studio, I contacted her for a consultation.
After our initial conversation by phone, I realized that there were multiple issues I had been minimizing or ignoring. I had low stamina, felt weak, slept poorly was mildly depressed, among other things. Shannon did an in-depth intake questionnaire on my diet and daily habits and we began working together. We first focused on diet, with a goal of improving my meal choices and meal schedule among other details. We also set up regular yoga sessions with personalized audio practices
included. Later we introduced Ayurvedic herbal supplements to my regimen along with other personal self-care practices (recently, use of a Neti pot).
My allergies improved almost immediately and I now have a template for daily living that works for me in my ordinary life. I have found working with Shannon extremely beneficial to my health and well-being overall and I feel stronger, am sleeping better and my emotional state has improved considerably. After 6 months I was able to see the connections between what I ate, drank, etc with how I felt.
I am invested in self-care at a new level now. At the age of 63, I am in touch with my body and my spirit in ways that feel new and hopeful.
